In celebration of National Crochet Week (March 17-23, 2003)

Since our efforts to find a single place to congregate and promote National Crochet Week didn't pan out, I thought the opposite might work.  Having contacted some of the yarn shops that offer us discounts, I was able to work out an in-store crochet demonstration with Linda LaBelle of The Yarn Tree at http://theyarntree.com/home.html.  Her shop features a fabulous selection of natural fibers, as well as the tools of the trade, and is very crochet-friendly.  Linda was teaching a weaving course at the Guggenheim, but I had the pleasure of meeting Shannon, and seeing Barley again ;).  I'd like to thank them all for the opportunity and positive experience of putting my teaching skills to the test in a comfortable environment.  Next year... National Crochet Month! :)
