Annual Meeting - May 2003 - Elections

We still need a Nominating Committee to set the slate for our May elections.  At our April meeting, we will again ask for volunteers for the Nominating Committee.  They must be people who will not run for elected office this year and preferably are not on the current Board.  This is a job that will only take a month, but is of great importance to the smooth functioning of our Guild in the year to come.  Duties include making sure that all those nominated are willing to run, making a slate of nominees and counting absentee ballots, votes and attendance at the elections.  Please consider helping the Guild by being part of this Committee.

We will also accept final nominations and volunteers (don’t be shy!) to run for office and set the slate for elections.  In the next newsletter, we will update you on all nominees and include an absentee ballot.  If you will not be at the meeting, you can mail in your ballot.  However, we need half our current membership to be present to make the vote a valid one, so please plan to attend and make your voice heard.

After the May election, officers will make transitions so that the newly elected ones will be in place, ready to do their jobs at the June meeting.
