Trip to Morehouse Farm with HHCC

WhereThe Morehouse Farm, located at 141 Milan Hill Road, Milan, NY
You may have seen their incredibly soft merino yarn for sale at the Union Square or Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket or at the Grand Central Holiday sale.

When:  Sunday, June 1, 2003
Time:  Starting at 11:00 AM Arrival
Cost:  Free Admission
Details:  Watch the shearing of their award-winning breeding stock, spinning demonstration, and discussion of the yarn making process from sheep to skein. Bring a picnic lunch. All participants should drive or car pool. There is ample parking.

Dee and other members of the HHCC have kindly offered to arrange to pick us up at the Brewster MetroNorth station (not as far as Pawling) and chauffeur us for the remainder of the trip (& back to the train station afterwards). This is a great opportunity to get to know each other. If this interests you, please contact Dee ASAP so we can coordinate the seats needed with the number of drivers available.

For NYCCG members, if you'd like to participate but need transportation, please let Dee know (CrochetWithDee@aol.com).

Everyone, please dress appropriately! This is a working farm, so expect to get dirty. Also, wear your Chapter T-shirts so we can create that sea of Blue & Purple! :)

Update from Dee:
There is a yarn store that we will be passing on our return trip called "The Yarn Central Store" (it's NEW!) #2593 on Route 52, in Hopewell Junction, New York. They are now offering a 10% discount off regular prices when you display your valid CGOA Membership Card. Phone # (845) 223-8355.
