From The President

In gathering information for Lily as she prepared our Chapter Challenge, I read through our newsletters for the past year. I was surprised at how much we have accomplished in that time.

We made a wonderful showing at the Knit Out, Crochet 2002: collectively we taught, crochet doctored, demonstrated techniques, participated in the show and share, handed out bookmarks and displayed a wide array of beautiful crocheted work with our usual panache and enthusiasm.

We took a variety of wonderful workshops with terrific teachers, culminating in 24 of us taking the CIP weekend workshop.

We have had Crochet and Chats available to anyone for free since last fall and in mid-March added an ongoing beginners class at another location.

Crochet demos were done in two yarn stores during National Crochet week. And a wide variety of charities now have some of our handiwork for those who need it.

I particularly noticed the balance of learning and taking in and giving back that we have managed to achieve and I hope we will continue in this vein in the future.
