Crochet Sightings:

  1. Newport News catalog has some lovely crochet garments:
    a) Lurex metallic cami and skirt with feminine scalloped edges.
    b) Silver crocheted sweater dress with sequins with a scoop neck.
    c) Crocheted duster with classic notch collar and scalloped edges.
  2. Crafts on Columbus- This craft festival had four booths that were selling crocheted items.
    a) The first was from a male crocheter who had crocheted vests and blankets. At $200 each, his vests were made from a simple design, but he had tied strands of yarn or other stripped fabric pieces. The blankets contained appliqué designs such as flowers and cats.
    b) The second was a woman named Rezah, a designer from Brooklyn. She was selling crocheted suede squares wraps $45 & up, and crocheted cloche hat and scarf sets for $75.
    c) The third was a woman selling crocheted recycled silk scarves and hats for $20 each.
    d) The fourth booth was Flying Fingers Yarn Shop and was selling knit and crocheted hats and vests. A crochet granny square type hat was priced at $45.
