Elections - Coming Soon

It may seem early to think about elections when they will not be held until May, with the new Executive Board starting in June. But several current Board members do not intend to run for office again and it is very important that we have an active Board so we can continue to offer interesting opportunities of all sorts as well as to expand our membership and outreach programs.

Mary DuBois will head the Nominating Committee (thank you, Mary). We need to have a slate of candidates willing and capable of sharing all the work needed to keep our Guild running smoothly. She will accept nominations and contact the nominee to be sure they are willing to run. She will also accept volunteers, so please do not be shy about saying you would like to run for an office. If you think you might, but need more information, speak to any of the current Board members, who will be happy to answer your questions. Job descriptions can be found in our By-Laws, which are posted in the files at our Yahoo Group site.

So if you are interested in running for elected office, or would like to nominate someone, please give that information to Mary.
