Upcoming Elections

You will notice an extra sheet in your newsletter this month.  This is a nomination form for the Executive Board of the Guild.  Mary DuBois, who has been our Second Vice President since the beginning will not be running for that office again and so has graciously volunteered to serve as the Nominating Committee head.

The Executive Board is what keeps us running. It is very important that we have all offices filled with Board members who are willing and able to give a bit of extra time to the Guild. Meetings of the Board are held on the second Wednesday of each month in the CitiGroup Atrium, though this is can be changed, depending on the schedules of those involved.

The elected offices are: President (Barbara Hillery will not be running for President again), First Vice President (Membership- currently Anna Morgan), Second Vice President (Education – Mary DuBois will not be running again), Recording Secretary (currently Lynne Casalta), Corresponding Secretary (currently Ellen Bowrosen), and Treasurer (currently Jo Ann Segreto). The final place on the Board is that of Immediate Past President (currently Willena Nanton).

The functions of each office is described in our by-laws.  If you have specific questions, please speak to a current Board member.

We want to stress that you are most welcome to nominate yourself. Don’t be shy! If there is an office that you think you would like to fill and that you can make a commitment of a year, then please write your own name on the nomination form and mail or give it to Mary. Do it today.
