NYC Crochet Guild
We finally got a real article this time regarding the 2004 Crochet Calendar. It's in the member insert of the Chain Link newsletter in the current issue of Crochet magazine! Originally, a full article was supposed to run in the January issue, but they cut it to a two-line blurb in the margin. After I saw that, I convinced them that they needed to print a full article to help us advertise. Voila! It works! We've sold a few more calendars because of the article.
So, with that in mind, get your original designs ready for the 2005 Calendar contest to be held on June 3rd. Have your written pattern ready as well. If you need help, contact a board member.
Also---WE NEED MODELS!!!!! And I don't mean Cosmo models. I mean real models like you!!! We need all ages, all sizes. We need to show our diversity as a group. We need hand models. So if you have a nice manicure, please volunteer. DON'T BE SHY. I promise, you'll look mahvelous!
We need props, too! I'll provide a prop list after we hold the contest. We only ask that you help us get it to the photo shoot on June 4th in Central Park.
We need people to volunteer to pattern check the articles! If you can pattern check just one item, that's a big help. Please let Barb Hillery or me know as soon as possible if you can help out this way.
Want to help out at a real, live, photo shoot? You can, just let me know you have interest.
Please let me know if you can help! It's never too early to express your interest. This is a guild project, so GET INVOLVED!
