From the President

Summer is here and that means we can get ready for the CGOA convention that will be held in New Hampshire from July 21-25, 2004. I hope that you are able to attend the convention because it is great fun to spend the week with fellow Crocheters. But even if you cannot attend, you can still participate in the Crochet Hat Chapter Challenge, in which we are trying to make hats for youth that will donated to a local charity. In addition, if you have taken pictures at workshops or pictures of your items from a workshop, please bring them to the meeting so we can incorporate them in our Map Quest Design. The Map Quest Design will show what our chapter has done for the entire year.

Crochet Sighting:

• There is a store, Gypsy Artist on East38th Street between Madison and Fifth, that has two crocheted beaded skirts and halter tops in the window.
• Lord and Taylor on Fifth Avenue has Crochet Ponchos made out of ribbon and wool that sell for $50 and up.
