Chain Link Report (preliminary)

We will have a much more extensive report of Chain Link in our next newsletter. Anyone with reactions and information about the conference should email me and I’ll compile everyone’s contributions into an article for our next newsletter.

WE WON THE HAT COMPETITION!!! We contributed a total of 432 hats to the heads of NH children. Our highest contributor was Lily Chin, who crocheted 140 –yup! One hundred forty –hats. Next was Rosalie Hollingsworth with 25 hats. Huge thanks to all who contributed time, yarn, mailing, driving, and everything else.

We had just under 20 members in attendance at the convention—a really good turnout—and saw many old friends there, such as Margaret Hubert, Marie Stewart (of the Yarn and Craft Box in Pawling), Noreen Crone-Findlay, Prudence Mapstone… it was wonderful!

Next year’s convention will be the same weekend in July and will be held in Oakland, CA in the same place where Stitches West is held (I hear it’s a marvelous place), so start saving your pennies!
