The rage this past month was Martha’s Poncho. Various companies have made a duplicate of the poncho and have offered the pattern. How fitting that for Women’s History and National Crochet Months that this poncho has been in the news. I remember watching Martha board the airplane with her poncho and I knew the poncho was crocheted, but never imagined that an inmate had made it for her. I was thinking that her family had brought the poncho for her to wear home. It is a wonderful way to bring in April with ponchos because it means we are getting closer to pulling out a spring version of ponchos and getting ready to put the winter coats away.
