Congratulations

1. Barbara Hillery and Arlene Mintzer have their work displayed at the A.I.R Gallery. Generations 5 is an invitational exhibition of small work by women artists. Barbara’s freeform piece is “Eye of the Storm” and Arlene’s crocheted necklace is untitled. The exhibition includes a silent auction to benefit Women's eNews, an Internet-based news service, and A.I.R. The pieces can be seen at the gallery through April 1, 2006 or at http://www.airnyc.org/

2. Willena Nanton was pictured in the newspaper AM NY on Monday, March 6, 2006. The article focuses on the new yarn store Knitty City, details about crafting in general and a great picture of Willena teaching. The store had a special event on Saturday for the book "Knitting Out of Africa". Willena demonstrated tapestry crochet and was quoted in the article. She even managed to get in a few words about the Guild!

3. Stitchcraft with Lily Chin will be re-airing on the Oxygen network a few times in April. The dates are: Sunday, April 16th at 3:00pm, Friday April 28th at 7:30pm and Saturday April 29th at 12:30 pm.
