NYC Crochet Guild
I applaud the members of the NYC Crochet Guild. I asked for 1,000 preemie hats for the Knit Out on Sunday, September 17th. Well, ladies, you outdid yourselves and we presented 2,234 hats to the Save Our Children Foundation at the Knit Out. More were turned in after our presentation from late arrivals, but they were added to the count. Of this number our members personally produced 1,764 hats. The rest were solicited from family and friends. Darla Fanton, Chain Link Teacher, sent us 4 hats from Portland, OR. We sent a thank you note to the CGOA general membership Yahoo board, acknowledging the 265 additional hats collected from other guilds and CGOA membership.
