We will again need volunteer teachers and staffing for our own table. Sign up at the September 2nd meeting, or, if you won’t be at that meeting, call or email the Guild to say how you want to help and what time you will be available. Teachers, be sure to take breaks this year!
Please wear your NYCCG tee shirts. Please bring crocheted items to display on our table.
Our members Willena Nanton and Barbara Hillery will be doing crochet demos.
The newest component of the KOC is the scarf contest. Rules are:
- Contest is open to all ages.
- Bring your finished scarf and completed entry form (to be provided at the Knit-Out) to the Scarf Contest table by 2 p.m. on the day of the Knit-Out
- All entries must be an original design to win.
- The winners will be announced at the Knit-Out and must be present in order to receive their prize.
- The decisions of the judges will be final.
- All scarves entered become the property of the Craft Yarn Council of America and will be donated to the Warm Up America! Foundation.
- Prizes are awarded as presented and cannot be redeemed for cash.
There are lots of good prizes and winners will be featured in Family Circle Easy Knitting + Crochet. More details here: http://www.fceasyknitting.com/media/Scarf-Contest-Knit-Out-04.pdf
