Teaching at the Museum of Arts and Design - November 20

We’ve been asked to help teach crochet at the Museum  of Arts and Design. In conjunction with their exhibit, Fiber Art International 2004, they’re having a Knit/Crochet-Out to make blankets for shelter and rescued animals. Without comfortable blankets, many animals in shelters have to sleep on newspaper, cement, or metal cage bars. Not only do these blankets provide comfort and warmth, but they also lessen the anxiety of being in a shelter, and allow an animal to be his or her most comfortable and relaxed self. These blankets also make the shelters appear homier, making animals more adoptable.

The Craft Yarn Council of America will donate materials. The Critter Knitters Coalition will teach knitting and our Guild will teach basic crochet for this event. Sign up at the November meeting.
