Noreen Crone-Findlay is passionate about the fiber arts. She is an author, designer, professional puppeteer, dollmaker, workshop facilitator, crocheter, small loom weaver, and knitter. She is the author of three books published by Krause Publications: 'Soul Mate Dolls: Dollmaking as a Healing Art' (2000), 'Storytelling with Dolls', a collaboration with Elinor Peace Bailey (2003) and the just-released 'Creative Crocheted Dolls: 50 Whimsical Designs.'
On Saturday, June 5th from 10 to 1, Noreen will teach Random Lace, Field of Flowers. You will create a romantic field of flowers and butterflies in a fun and easy technique that Noreen calls "Random Lace". In the workshop, you'll be making a little triangular doll's shawl, OR a necklace pouch for your glasses or sunglasses and will learn how to create full size garments such as bags, scarves, shawls, vests and other garments in glorious "Random Lace".
From 2 to 5 Noreen will teach Crocheted FreeForm Dolls. In this workshop, you'll learn how to build a freeform crochet doll. It's a wonderful way to pull together all kinds of bits and pieces that have been floating about, looking for a home. You'll be crocheting the foundation for the doll, then learn how to make wonderful faces, and apply them. Hands and feet will also be revealed!
Workshop costs are $35 for one or $60 for both for members and $40 and $70 for guests. Sign up at the May or June meeting, or contact the Guild,
