Tapestry Crochet Workshop with Willena Nanton

Tapestry crochet is a unique method of bringing a design from paper to yarn.

Explore crocheting with colors by learning tapestry crochet. Tapestry crochet is a unique method of bringing a design from paper to yarn. The technique is worked row by row with two or more colors. This class will teach you valuable tips and tricks on how to work with more than two colors at a time and how to work over loose ends, so there’ll be less weaving in at the end of your project. In addition, you learn how to create anything from a small piece of crochet to a one piece afghan. You will learn to make pillows, bags, and vests using this technique. Also learn how to read graphs, adapt a graph to crochet and how to create your own graph from a picture. The goal of the class is for you to create a project that will be as beautifully finished in the front as in the back.

This class will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on September 18th. Cost is $25 for Guild members and $30 for guests. Please register at the September meeting, or email or call for a registration form if you cannot come to the meeting.
