Handbag Workshop

Handbag workshops by our member, Tatyana Mirer, have been scheduled. Students will have a choice of three designs to choose from to make on February 25, 2006. Finishing the bags with zipper or magnetic closure will be done on March 11, 2006. You will be able to take ONE or BOTH of the workshops. Tatyana will have samples of the bags at the February meeting and registration forms will be available.

The cost of the workshop is $35 for members, $45 for non-members for ONE workshop and $60 for members and $75 for non-members for BOTH workshops. These are 6 hour workshops.

Tatyana is a knitwear and crochet designer and teacher. Her works and designs have been published in various magazines and books. Having a Bachelor's Degree in Ladies Wear Fashion Design, Tatyana has studied specialized knitting and crochet to improve her craft knowledge and skills. Tatyana is a recognized Craft Yarn Council Certified Teacher and Instructor and conducts workshops for beginners and advanced students at yarn shops, guilds, and knitting retreats. She has been teaching crochet and knitting for over 30 years and is an excellent (and patient) tutor for all those who want to master new techniques. She translated “The Sweater Book” and “Big and Little Sweaters” by English designer Sasha Kagan for the Moscow Publishing House “Mir”. She currently works for a design studio, creating handmade embellishments for prestigious ladies wear.
