We Need Motifs

In preparation for the Knit Out, Crochet 2004, we need more motifs. Our goal is to have 1000 bookmarks to hand out and, although we have been working on these over the past year, we are still hundreds short.

We appeal to each guild member to make at least 8 motifs—they can be very simple, like a circle or square in variegated thread—about 1 inch across with ends woven in -- need not be perfect, but excess thread should be woven down the wrong side toward the center. Please bring them to the September meeting or mail them to the Guild’s PO Box.

We will assemble them for two hours following the Tapestry Crochet Workshop.  Consider staying after the workshop for a bit, or joining us at 3 for a bit of bookmark assembly.

If we need more time to assemble bookmarks, we will meet at the public space at the Whitney Museum extension on Park Ave. at 42nd St. (across from Grand Central) on Sept. 25th from noon to 4 p.m.
