05/01/2003 Meeting Program

• Elections for Executive Board members.  We need half our membership to be present at this Annual Meeting in order to make the vote a valid one, so please plan to attend and make your voice heard. If you cannot attend, however, and you are a member in good standing, you may vote by Absentee Ballot (either in the paper version, enclosed in the email, at the yahoo group, or by printing the ballot page here) and sending it to us so that it reaches us by April 29th.   Please take time to consider the candiates, and read through their position papers that some have submitted:
  • For President: Barbara Hillery
  • For President: Yvonne Tate
  • For First Vice President: Melanie Mays
  • For Second Vice President: Mary DuBois
  • For Recording Secretary: Lynne Casalta
• Register for Barbara Kerr's Color for Crocheters workshop
• Stitch of the Month: Cable.  We will learn a cable stitch, so bring worsted weight yarn in a medium/light color and an H, I or J Hook. This pattern is also great for a washcloth, hot pad or pot holder, so if you'd like to make one, bring 100% Cotton (e.g. Sugar n Cream).

• Resource Center opens at 8 p.m.

Don't Forget to Bring

• Be prepared to attend and vote in our elections
• Be prepared to register for Color workshop (bring your address labels).
• 100% cotton or any worsted weight, light colored yarn and H, I or J hook for Stitch of the Month
• Your chained eggs from last month for a picture.
• Donations for any of our charity projects
• Something for show and tell
• Samples and labels of your yarns for the Yarn Library (give to Willena)
• Pictures of crocheted items from any publications (with name and date) for our file (give to Willena)
• Any original pattern or article you’d like to contribute to next month’s newsletter (give to Barbara)
