• 4 oz- 100% Acrylic Worsted Weight Yarn- Rose (R)
• 4 oz -100% Acrylic Worsted Weight Yarn- Variegated (blue, peach, white)(V)
• Size G Crochet hook

Pattern Stitch

Shell st (shell): Place 5 dc in 1 sc.

Instructions

Front

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in each st across. Turn.

Rows 2-3: Ch 1. Sc in each sc across. Turn

Rows 4-5: Join W with sl st in 1st sc. Ch 1 sc in each st across. Turn.

Rows 6-8: Join R with sl st in 1st sc. Ch 1 sc in each st across. Turn.

Row 9: Join V with sl st in 1st sc. Ch 1, sc in first st, *skip 2 sc, shell, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc*. Rep from * to * across. Turn.

Row 10: Ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, sc in 3rd dc, *shell in sc, sc in 3rd dc*. Rep from * to * to last sc. 3 dc in last sc. Turn.

Row 11: Ch 1, sc in 1st dc, shell in sc, *sc in 3rd dc, shell in sc*. Rep from * to * to Ch-3. Sc in top of ch-3. Turn

Rows 12-15: Rep Rows 10 & 11 twice.

Row 16: Join R, Ch 1 Sc in each dc and sc across. Turn

Rows 17- 31: Rep Rows 2 to 15.

Row 32: Rep Row 16.

Rows 33- 40: Rep Rows 2-8. Fasten off after row 40.

Border: Work around the entire piece: on top, both sides, and bottom. Sc in each sc on top and bottom. On the sides, place one sc in each sc and place 2 sc in each dc. On the corners, place a ch 1. Fasten off.

Back

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in each ch across. Turn.

Rows 2-3: Ch 1. Sc in each sc across. Turn.

Rows 4-5: Join V with sl st in 1st sc. Ch 1, sc in each ch across. Turn.

Row 6: Join R with sl st in 1st sc. Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Turn.

Rows 7-8: Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Turn.

Row 9: Ch 1, sc in first st, *skip 2 sc, shell, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc*. Rep from* to * across.

Row 10: Ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, sc in 3rd dc, *shell in sc, sc in 3rd dc*. Rep from * to * last sc. 3 dc in last sc.

Row 11: Ch 1, sc in 1st dc, shell in sc, *sc in 3rd dc, shell in sc*. Rep from * to * to last Ch-3. Sc in top of ch-3.

Rows 12-15: Rep Rows 10 & 11 twice.

Row 16: Ch 1, sc in each dc and sc across. Turn

Rows 17- 31: Rep Rows 2 to 15.

Row 32: Rep Row 16.

Rows 33- 40: Repeat Rows 2-8. Fasten off after Row 40.

Border: Use Border Instructions for Front.

Joining pieces: Place wrong sides back to back.

Rnd 1: Join R with sl st in any sc that is not a corner st. Sc in back lps of front and back tog, placing 3 sc in ch 1 space of corners. Remember to leave an opening to stuff the pillow. Stuff pillow. Close opening with R and fasten off.

Rnd 2: Join W with sl st in any sc that is not a corner st. Sc in each stitch around. Fasten off.
